Actinic Cheilitis (Lips)
Therapeutic laser resurfacing to clear precancerous, dry, or chronically peeling lip tissue.

Actinic Cheilitis is a pre-cancerous, sun-damaged condition of the lips. This targeted Er:YAG laser treatment safely ablates the superficial, damaged layers of the lip vermilion border layer-by-layer. This micro-precision triggers rapid, healthy cellular regeneration, replacing damaged cells with fresh, pristine lip tissue.
TREATMENT DURATION
20 Mins
DOWN TIME
Moderate (5–7 days of raw peeling, redness, and swelling on the lips)

WHAT TO EXPECT
A hot, prickly sensation. A highly effective topical numbing ointment is applied 30–45 minutes prior to ensure a comfortable and highly tolerable experience.
PRE-TREATMENT
Ensure lips are completely clean and free of cosmetic lip balms, makeup, or ointments.
Must be clinically evaluated by a practitioner to rule out invasive squamous cell carcinoma.
If prone to cold sores, start a prophylactic antiviral prescription 24 hours prior.
AFTER CARE
Keep the lips continuously coated with a thick layer of protective ointment (such as Aquaphor) to prevent drying or cracking.
Avoid spicy, hot, or highly acidic foods and beverages for 5 days.
Do not pick or scratch at any flaking skin; allow it to peel off naturally.
